Diana Rae Mahnke

Diana Rae Mahnke was born June 2, 1963 in Klamath Falls, Oregon and passed from this life on June 16, 2022 in Bend, Oregon. Diana was a graduate of Mazama High School and California State University Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She passed the accountancy exam and became a Certified Public Accountant on January 19, 1996. Diana enjoyed working for Partners In Care, a hospice care nonprofit organization, as an Accountant. Partners In Care cared for Diana for 3 months on hospice. Our family would like to thank all the employees of Partners In Care for the special care they gave to our beautiful soul that was Diana. Diana fell in love with horses as a young girl. She had an extensive collection of statues of different horse breeds. She learned horseback riding and jumping with Betsy at Horse Butte Equestrian Center in Bend, Oregon. Diana was a budding artist. She loved painting portraits of animals, specifically horses, landscapes, dogs, and other pets. She was self taught and worked in many different mediums. She commissioned many pet portraits and has paintings hanging in a few offices in Bend. She also loved the outdoors and was avid in hiking, backpacking, bicycling, and adventure. Diana climbed Mt. Shasta twice and she loved riding through the roads along the farm lands while the spray from the irrigation misted her and she breathed in the musty wet grass aroma. Her favorite place was the Redwoods along the California Coast. Diana was preceded in death by her mother, Angela Gabrielson; sister-in-law, Jennifer Dunn; and her beloved terrier, Milo. She is survived by her father, Glenn Dunn; sister, Tammy and Don Reynolds; brother, Christopher Dunn; Brother/Sister-in-laws Sarah Mahnke, Kittie Mahnke, Mark and Holly Mahnke, and Bill Mahnke; Nieces Brittany, Bobbi, Madison, Flore, Abbi, Karis, Allison, Erica, McKenna, Johane, and Lourdia; Nephews Colin and Ethan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
