January first...without a question. One of the hardest days I've had to face so far in my life. All of this happened so fast, it didn't seem real. It just felt like a terrible dream that I could not wake up from. But here we are. This is very real and painful for all of us right now. So many questions left unanswered. HOW could this happen? WHY would something like this have to happen? DID I cause this to happen? WHAT are we supposed to do now? I have personally made the decision to stop asking myself these questions that cannot be answered by any man, woman, or child. I believe that only God knows these answers and I am of the belief that each one of us has a very specific amount of time on this earth and when it runs out there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. There wasn't a single action or event that led to this, NO, it took a whole series of events and actions OR if you rather, inactions that led to this. People all over the world cheat death every day, not because of their wealth or how often they attend church, not because of how many people loved them. No, they are still here because it wasn't their time to leave. It God's will. I have come to accept this. I have stopped asking God to give us Dad back. But I have asked God to give me the strength to carry on without him. In turn, he has given me all of you, with your kindness, your funny memories of dad, your love and understanding. All of everyone's support has been a lifeline I desperately needed to pull me out from the terrible darkness I fell into last Saturday morning I am forever grateful to all of you! I am so incredibly grateful for all the time I was able to spend with my Dad, if not for all this time I never would have realized my full potential as a father, as a husband, and as a friend. To my beautiful wife Niki and both of our amazing children Emily and Levi, I cannot tell you how proud my father was of all of us. As a father and as a grandfather he loved all of us and took joy in the time we had together. We were all in his heart every day. So now I ask everyone, let's not be sad for our loss but grateful for all we cherish and hold dear, for all the GREAT memories we share and take this time to pay our respects and to give thanks for the 66 years my dad spent of this earth. And may GOD BLESS EVERYONE! In loving memory of my father Randall David Fisher December 12, 1955- January 1, 2022 He is survived by his wife Lynette Fisher of over 47 years, son Kevin, daughter-in-law Niki and grandchildren Emily and Levi. Additional family survivors are his brothers: Donald, Dennis, and Mike, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services for my Dad will be held Friday January 14th - 11:00 am at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
