Michael William Munsterman passed from this life into the next, in his home, February 14, 2022, with his wife and family at his side. He was born in Houston, Texas on April 12, 1979 to Nick and Carol Munsterman. From there, with his family, he traveled and lived in numerous parts of the country that eventually led them to Oregon. It was there that he spent most of his years growing up and eventually settling. During his early years he would meet the love of his life, Erin... and years later they would reconnect, fall in love, and marry on November 5, 2004. He was an avid reader and was a true movie buff. While he enjoyed all genres of movies, he absolutely LOVED old westerns and especially John Wayne movies. He treasured his family and loved to spend time with them whenever that was possible. In his early years, Mike finished school, spent some time in college, and eventually would complete his training as a licensed massage therapist. Over his life, Mike worked numerous jobs, from woodworking, to cooking, to gas station attendant, but found his strength in serving others... whether in an IT service center working with customers or as a service and sales consultant at Lowes and Home Depot. This heart to impact others would act as a guidepost to his greater calling to love and serve others... especially as an encouragement to those he deemed the underdog. While to all who knew him, he was a big and boisterous personality, he also carried a deep concern and care for those who needed a hand up. His impact spread across all walks of people. His acceptance and love for them was evidenced by the time he invested in them. This love was fueled by his faith and desire for those around him to know Jesus and the difference that He would make in the lives of all who call on Him. He truly took to heart the commands that Jesus gave when He said to, "Love God with all of your heart, mind and soul... and to love your neighbor as yourself". Each of us that knew Mike, experienced that love through him. Mike was preceded in death by his: father, Nick Munsterman and his grandparents, Pete and Ila Munsterman as well as John and Alexina Beauchamp. He is survived by his: wife Erin Munsterman; mother, Carol Munsterman; siblings, Bill Munsterman and wife Penni, John Munsterman and wife Sonia, Pete Munsterman and wife Amy; nephews and nieces, Haley Munsterman, Allyson Munsterman, Jared Munsterman, Emma Munsterman, Jenna Munsterman, Ellie Munsterman, Cole Munsterman, William Munsterman; great-nephew, Jimmy Munsterman; as well as a host of cousins, connections and deep friendships. Also, we cannot forget, his beloved fur-baby Nala. He kept track of those he loved and always wanted to connect as often as possible. Mike was a member of Foundry Church in Bend, OR. He loved his church family and was specifically grateful for his mentors and lifegroup family who has supported both he and Erin incredibly through the years, and especially in the recent months.
