Laura "Lori" Ruth Cossaboom

Lori passed away peacefully in Bend, Oregon on August 18, 2025. She was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 22, 1953 at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. Her parents were Charles and Rosemary Stolinski. Lori graduated from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. She worked in clerical and receptionist roles at various sites, most notably at the Orange County Registrar of Voters. Lori married Bruce Cossaboom in 1987. Although their marriage ended, they continued to be lifelong friends. Lori enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as watching classic movies and tv shows. I Love Lucy and Seinfeld were some of her favorites. She enjoyed listening to music and was a big fan of Barbara Streisand, Liza Minnelli and the Beatles. As an eleven-year-old she and her older sister saw the Beatles in their first Hollywood Bowl performance. After spending the first part of her life in Southern California, Lori moved to Redmond, Oregon, in 1999. Lori wanted to be near her parents, who had built a home and moved to La Pine, Oregon. Like her parents, Lori appreciated the beauty of nature in central Oregon and enjoyed visits to nearby lakes. Lori was always eager to hear and talk about the latest family news and political events. She also took the right to vote very seriously. Lori had a remarkable ability to remember dates and circumstances of family and news events. Lori is survived by her sisters; Paula Stoffel (husband David) and Lisa Morrison (husband Monte), brother; Charles Stolinski, Jr. (wife Tina), nieces and nephews; Julie (husband Jeff), Jeff (wife Joyce), Alex (wife Aryn), Adam, Lisa Beth (husband Bill), Jessica and Philip III, great nieces and nephews; Zack, Haley, Audrey, Ethan, Liam, Jacob, Gracie and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosemary Stolinski. Cremation services are being provided by Niswonger-Reynolds of Bend, Oregon. Lori’s remains will be interred at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California. Lori said that she liked the peacefulness and beauty of the grounds at Holy Sepulcher, and would at times take walks there when she lived nearby. A celebration of Lori’s life is pending.
