Larry Eugene Kee

Larry Eugene Kee of Bend, Oregon died December 6 at home where he lived with his daughter Karen Kee Mulder and her family. He was born October 3, 1931 in Fort Benton, Montana to Cecil Norris and Anna Beryl Kee, He graduated from Eagle Point High School in 1950 in Eagle Point, OR. He joined the Army and served his country in the Korean War. He met Patricia "Joan" Litehiser in Seattle, WA. They married September 16, 1955 and they were married for over 42 years until her death. A few years after marrying they moved to Bend, OR and made their home there. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Norris and Anna Beryl Kee, his brother Charles Kee, his wife Patricia "Joan" Litehiser Kee, his daughters Marie Louise Kee, and Susan Kathleen Kee Barton. He is survived by his children: Roger Eugene Kee (Sandra Greene Kee), Deann Christine Kee Curtis (Paul Damian Curtis) and Karen Maureen Kee Mulder (Troy Dean Mulder). He is survived by his Siblings: Stanley Kee, (Patricia Kee) and Cecilia Kee Palm (Mike Palm). He is survived by his grandchildren: Susan's son Andrew Isaac Barton, Roger's son Sean Garen Kee, Deann's children: Esther Marie Curtis Peterson (Jeffrey Peterson), Peter Michael Curtis, Elizabeth Aryn Curtis, Jonathan Abraham Curtis, Timothy Joseph Curtis, Patricia JoAnne Curtis, Gabriel Paul Curtis, Nathaniel Patrick Curtis and Lawrence Edward Curtis, Karen's Children: Benjamin Austin Mulder, Ezra James Mulder, Emma Marie Mulder, Amanda Rose Mulder, and Rebekah Loree Mulder. He is survived by his Great Grandchildren: Peter's daughter Catherine Rose Curtis and two others who shall remain unnamed. Larry met his wife, "Joan," while working as a cook for her brother Joe Litehiser. He also worked for Boeing before moving to Bend. Later he worked for her brother, Boyd Litehiser, hauling Texaco gasoline. Wanting to be in charge of his own destiny, he then studied and became an insurance agent. He sold for many different companies. He studied again now earning the designation of Charter Life Underwriter, CLU. He was recognized several times for his excellent work. His clients often became his friends and all were remembered each year with a birthday card. During his free time he studied his family's genealogical history. He also loved playing games with family and friends. Some of his favorites were: pinochle, scrabble, solitaire and a Korean version of solitaire. While raising his family he enjoyed taking Sunday drives, camping around Oregon and Washington, and spending time with family. He had an interest in music and enjoy classical as well as classical country music. His favorite artist being Chet Atkins. He was loved by his family and his absence leaves an emptiness for all. Niswonger - Reynolds Funeral Home is in charge of his final arrangements and his family will be planning a get together in his honor to be held in the Spring of 2020.
