Aubrie Lyssa Mayer

Bend, Oregon Aubrie was born in Bend, Oregon where she lived most of her life, as well as a few years in Medford, Oregon during her teen years. She attended schools in Bend and Medford and received her high school equivalency. When Aubrie was born, she held the special place as the first grandchild on both sides of her family. Her favorite color was blue, the color of her eyes. When she was little she loved watching Duke Basketball with her Papa (Grandpa Paul Eckman). She brought so much joy into her familys lives with her quiet, loving demeanor and her good kind heart. Aubrie loved to read, taking cooking classes, quilting lessons and crocheting. She loved to travel, including trips throughout the US and abroad. Some of her favorite destinations were Disney World, England, Scotland and Nicaragua, all of which she traveled to with her favorite travel companion, her Grammy. This past August she spent three weeks in Europe cruising the Mediterranean with her family. She is survived by her parents, Natalie (Talie) Wenick and Les and Karen Mayer; her brothers Brandon Howdyshell, Gabe Mayer and sister, Kasey Mayer; Grandmothers Kathie Eckman and Jeanne Mayer; her Uncle Eddie and Aunt Victoria Wenick, cousins Abbie and Kiera Wenick; Aunt Karen and Uncle Cam Primavera, cousins Bella and Paloma Primavera; and Uncles Jupiter, Andy, Charles and Chris Mayer and cousins Calista and Fisher. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Paul Eckman, Bill Wenick and David Leslie Mayer. Aubrie was well loved by all who knew her. She had a precious light shining inside of her that will always shine for us. Her light will never truly be gone. She is now at peace and free from pain and suffering. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, November 12 at 1 pm at the Pilot Butte Cemetery, Bend, Oregon. Friends and family are invited to a remembrance of Aubrie at the home of Kathie Eckman, 61088 River Bluff Trail, Bend, Oregon following the graveside service.
