The Greenwood Cemetery is located just south of Pilot Butte Park and adjacent to the Pilot Butte Cemetery. Public access is from Northeast Bear Creek Road or 12th Street and Hawthorne. This beautiful cemetery is often visited by walkers and joggers because of its pristine park-like nature. Featuring lush Weeping Willows, towering Ponderosa Pines and gnarled Juniper Pines, the grounds are beautifully maintained and provide a serene environment for families and friends to visit and honor their departed loved ones during any season.

Today, more than 75 years after its inception, Greenwood Cemetery continues to provide a final resting place for people from all over Central Oregon. The quiet character of the grounds and the spacious setting cannot fail to impress the visitor, and the fine monuments, many of which commemorate once famous local names, illustrate well the skills of stonemasons both past and present.

Special care and attention is devoted to providing an environment in which families can cherish the memory of their relatives and the selection of each site is a matter for individual choice to take account of personal wishes and requirements. Above all else, Greenwood Cemetery is spacious, so the natural desire for families to be close is more thoughtfully accommodated by allowing relatives to choose their own family site with sufficient space for the burial of each member next to one another. Family-areas may range from private Mausoleum sites to the simple double inurnment sites. Arrangements may be made by reserving the site in advance of need or at the time of the first interment.

• Traveling from 3rd Street (Hwy 97 Business Route):  Take Greenwood Ave. (Highway 20) East to 11th or 12th Street turning right (South) to Hawthorne Avenue turning left (East). Hawthorne will bring you right into Greenwood Cemetery.
